Since childhood, my life has been centered around sports. Sports have always been an important part of my daily routine. I believe that through sports, apart from physical strength, we can also improve mental strength such as leadership ability, taking correct decisions etc. I had a strong desire to participate in sports since my school days. Then I started playing Cricket and badminton which are my favourite sports. I represented my school in cricket team and badminton singles on various platforms.I captained my school Cricket team from class 9th till the last and won the district inter school tournament 3 times under my captaincy.Apart from school level, I also participated in various competitions at district and state level in both these sports. After some time I focused all my attention on badminton singles because I wanted to make my plans successful on my own. Then as I had thought, I played many tournaments and got success in many of them.
After COVID, my mind had set upon being a successful badminton player . I believe the passion for this particular sport was sparked by gender stereotypes that i wished to break through. I trained relentlessly for a year, made captain of the collage team and have continued participating in various tournaments and championships.
I was captain of the team and participated with wholehearted enthusiasm. We ended up getting the second place and winning a silver medal. Got awarded the "best quarterback" for commendable leadership and gameplay.
After being selected for nationals and being promoted to team captain, I was determined to excel. With great efforts and exceptional team work, we won second place again and secured the silver medal.
This was my first ever Badmintion tournament for which I had prepared tirelessly. Won 2 Matches but lost the third one, securing the third position and winning the bronze medal.
Our school organised one of the biggest inter-school tournaments in which more than 10 sports and more than 20 schools participated. I won the gold medal in badminton and eventually won the overall trophy.
